I am a first generation Pastor. In fact, there were no pastors in my family tree… …anywhere. My family growing up was a bit crazy, but my parents wanted the legacy of our family to change so they took us to church as kids. Those experiences planted a seed that would grow to define my life’s journey.
I’ve known Sarah since the 6th grade. While I’m from NY, my amazing wife is from Florida and we met right in the middle in Raleigh, NC. We were married in 1998 and now have 4 incredible kids! She makes me better in every way. Life is a an amazing journey, and we are a strong team facing all of it together.
I got into ministry at a young age as a worship leader who vowed he’d never be a lead Pastor. I still love playing and singing music, but God had a different plan which included not only Pastoring, but the humbling task of planting a church from nothing! In October of 2016, we launched Turning Point Church.
One of my favorite things about Turning Point Church is the culture of authenticity. Something that I strive for in my own life and leadership is the willingness to be real. I am not, and never will be a “polished, pedestal Pastor”. I’m just a real dude who loves Jesus and people and I will be out in the lobby after service talking to anyone who’s around. I believe in the restoration power of the gospel and I live to emphasize THAT. Everyone is a restoration story waiting to happen.
I bleed blue as a Yankees fan, I love hanging out at Starbucks, and I love making people both laugh and cry within the same twenty minutes. Nothing at Turning Point Church would be possible without the team of amazing people that God has put around Sarah and I who help move us toward our goal and minister with excellence.
